Reasons to be excited to start living in your student accommodation in Huddersfield

We’re now into September and our new tenants already have the keys to their new homes here in Huddersfield. Whilst university may not officially open its’ doors to students until later this month, lots are making use of this time by getting their new spaces ready and homely for when they do start.
Whilst some students may have already lived in Huddersfield, for some it may be the first time they’ve lived permanently in the town. So, what makes student living in Huddersfield something to look forward to?
Your very own space
Moving into your sleek, modern student home is as exciting as it comes. Enjoy adding those personal touches like fairy lights and photographs which will really create a space that feels like your own.

Parks and green spaces
Huddersfield has an abundance of these! If you’re living in an Edge Student home, chances are that you’ll have Greenhead Park just a stones throw away from your doorstep. This is a fantastic space for walking, running or a catch up with your mates. They also have fantastic facilities such as their tennis and multi sports courts aswell as a skate park. Huddersfield parkrun also takes place Saturday mornings at 9am if this floats your boat!
Coffee culture
Coffee shops are a favourite amongst students – a dose of caffeine and a change of scenery from the library can work wonders for anyone!! Huddersfield has some belters of independent coffee shops too; from Arcade in the Byram Arcade to Northern Tea House on King Street – you’ll find the perfect spot to meet friends or catch up on some reading.
Low cost activities

An affordable student town
Besides having free things to do (always a bonus!) you’ll find that compared to cities, Huddersfield is much more affordable. From rents to nights out, your money goes further here. You’ll therefore find that you can enjoy more of what Huddersfield offers without burning through your budget.
And of course – the nightlife
Freshers’ week will introduce you to some great spots around the town! From Brewdog to The Grove; Maverick’s to Wetherspoons – there’s a wide variety of different places to socialize and there’s something for everyone!
